Marcie: Handel’s Messiah, the most exciting part is when we get to the Hallelujiah Chrous and everone stands.

Peppermint Patty: Standing is Exciting?

That’s where I was tonight, dressed up as much as I could and watching intently JaJa Ling’s conduction of Handel’s classic. The Messiah has never been a particular favorite of mine but it is nice to hear around Christmastime. It was a nice sendoff from the school semester and I have never been happier to be home. My teeth are getting worked on so that’s good they’re actually getting fixed, I can smile in pictures again and eat apples with my front teeth. (I haven’t done that since the fifth grade hah a long time to wait but it was worth it) Anyway, looking forward to Christmas and New Years and hope to see lots of my friends. So until we talk again.

So I get up today and James tells me I’m going to church. Not much of a problem there, I like churches and have been looking for a good one since I got up here but I haven’t been crazy with the ones I’ve gone to. So we look online and find a vineyard church nearby and decide to go in. I have never been more disappointed in my life, what happenned to vineyard church’s. Nothing but a frothy sermon and empty warmth from the congregation. The worship was good and its nice to be able to praise God with other believers but the sermon…I felt like I had tried to eat bubbles to stop myself from starving. Where are the churches like mine in San Diego or Shiloh in Huachuca. So hard to find churches that are ALIVE today, but at least I was in church and that is something. The search goes on. Chargers won again and its looking good for a playoff shot for them, then I took a nap woke up and went to a friend’s project on domestic violence. A little bit of a heavy topic for a sunday night but an important one and its good to show support for friends. Anyway then I came back and am now going to sleep so until next time. See you all later.
