About the Blogs

After five years of writing my blog I was hit with a stunning realization: I had too many ideas and not enough blogs. The blogs at Valendar.com are the result of years of thought and together they make up the compendium of my writing. Each is divided by category into it’s respective area. Below is a brief description of each.

Personal Blog – As commonplace as it sounds, this is my personal journal updated semi-regularly with my thoughts, status of projects, and personal musings.

Professional – I am a professional student of the law and historian. These posts are topical essays on areas of  historical and legal interest. Fans of either genre may find them interesting.

Project Logos – I am a committed Christian and an amateur intellectual. I firmly believe that it is the duty of every Christian to pursue God not only through faith, but through reason. Project Logos are my reflections on scripture and my spiritual experiences. I don’t have a doctorate and I’m not in seminary so the thoughts are amateur, but for me trying to pursue a mature faith it is essential.

Writer’s Gymnasium – In Greek and Roman times the gymnasium was more than a place of athletics, it was  a center dedicated to self-improvement. Writing is my art and the writer’s gymnasium contains both my work dedicated to improving my skills and guides for anyone else who wishes to improve their craft.

The Balanced Life – For most of us men, we have a different take on how to build a home when we don’t have wives. In “The Balanced Life,” I provide short guides for men on their own from everything to cooking and budgeting, to housekeeping, to finding nifty ways to have fun on a budget.

TetraGrammaton – The TetraGrammaton is the four letters representing the name of God YHWH. This is my blog about my efforts to memorize the entire Bible in four years. (Coming January 2012).
